    Choosing relocation company

My whole family is going to move to Gold Coast, Australia. We are looking for relocation company now. This is the first time we move to another country. Is there anything we need to know/check before we choose the right relocation company? I mean what kind of questions we have to ask the consultant while conducting the home survey

A quick thought to steer the discussion - do you have a budget? There are top tier relo companies and there are second tiers.

Both of these tend to have the same problems - "shit happens" "stuff breaks" - Murphy's law applies. (Anything that can go wrong...)

Will post a few more check list items a little bit later...

I have called Allied pickford and Crown relo. I think they are the top tier relo companies. They are not cheap but that doesn't mean they will do their job well as you said "shit happens". Do you have other relo company recommend?

Goto fidi.org and find your removal company. There are quite a few and those that are members of fidi are regularly audited to keep their membership.
IMHO I wouldn't touch any removal company that wasn't registered with FIDI

    Very much appreciated.

My slow brain was a bit flummoxed when I couldn't find Hong Kong on the list, bit that was resolved when I chose China instead.

    Great starting point 👍🏼

I'd recommend Asian Tigers and asking for Gary Knowles
