Can my wire connection be hacked?

Now i'm getting a google refusal to open a banking page which google says may be unsafe. I've seen this message before but always only on a WiFi connection. I'm using a wire and have no wifi connection so i wonder what is the problem.

Could possibly be my machine or configurations, so says google. Obviously i need the banking page, and soon. Any ideas?

    Using chrome?

What is the error? Expired / mismatched SSL certificate?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Even if you were "hacked", I don't think it would cause this error. The error message simply states that you might not be going to the link you intended too, perhaps the website on their end is hacked or you have a mis-link typed in -- usually this occurs when clicking a link from a spam email.

Another reason this could happen is you are on a WiFi connection that needs to be logged in, such as at Starbucks and you need to accept the terms and conditions before being granted internet access.

FYI: I'm pretty much guessing but this is my thoughts.

    Yes, with a machete

IN this situation, ask yourself how sure are you your browser is "clean" (no malware hijack ware etc)
If you are sure then key in the URL of the bank word by word, then just proceed like below and throw caution to the wind

Or the more difficult way is to just use your edge or safari browser

Did you click a link to your bank's webpage or did you type it in yourself?

Careful if it's via a link. You might be attempting to log in to a phishing/hack site.
