    Tsuen-wan to Mongkok

    hi

what is best way to cycle from Tsuen-wan to Mongkok?

i need to go to Outputprolab tomorrow to develop a roll of film.

originally, i planned to cycle to Tsuen-wan, lock up my bike somewhere, then take subway to Mongkok.
but it would be great if i can ride closer.

i got busted by cops on my way to Mongkok for riding on sidewalk. they gave a warning and asked me alot of questions.

    1. when will the warning expire from my record?

    2. they asked me to open my handlebar bag. i thought about protesting, but did not and opened it. one cop took out the tire patch kit and inspected it very carefully. curious if you would have refused to open the bag? I think if I was in USA, i would refuse based on my right to not consent to searches.

Off topic but as a Brit I always find in annoying that most countries get this backwards!

Is Tai Po Road open to cycling?

That is the road between Shatin and Sham Shui Po. I vaguely recalled seeing a no-bicycle sign on that road.

I wouldn’t go during the daytime. Too much traffic and HGV’s.

Have a look on Google Maps to see the type of traffic on the road. Some parts of the road don’t look suitable for cyclists. If you see a sign showing no cycling, then I wouldn’t cycle there.

Have a look at this video:-
