i advice you try some local designers for second opinion. buildings are made differently.. hk being a land hungry country, the way a person uses the space in the house is different as compared to other countries where space are cheaper.

in hk many of the false ceilings serve some additional purpose as well, e.g. storage spaces.. so some of them are made to take heavier weights.
check what you need and what is the objective, and ask for a quote to order.

Thank you guys for your replies.

    Will check with agents .

Objective is to get a better look/design and also hide the wiring/cables/lights.

construction work including false ceilings, etc. have to comply with the Hong Kong fire regulations, it seems very unlikely to me that an overseas designer could know all the local trade practices and regulations.

Hi there. I’m renovating my place and my designer too recommended full false ceiling. Was wondering what your quote was? Thanks
