China's foreign minister finally meets with Australia's new foreign minister at the G20 over the weekend, after refusing the meet the previous Australian government for the last 3 years. China rocked up to the meeting with a 4 point list of demands to get the relationship back on track:

    - Australia must treat China as a “partner rather than a rival”
    - The two countries must seek “common ground while shelving differences"
    - Australia must reject “manipulation by a third party”, a clear reference to the United States
    - Both countries must build “public support featuring positiveness and pragmatism”

Australia's response is basically "go fuck yourselves"

China has suddenly started buying Australian coal again. According to the Chinese, its because of improved relations with new Australian government. But Australia calls bullshit on this and says its because China's economic figures that came out last Friday are much worse than expected after China keep shooting themselves in the foot, and they can no longer sustain the self harm their sanctions are inflicting
