Give me a decent Ethiopian enjira joint as well
we definitely do NOT need over inflated Filipino places in HK (Cinta J, massively overpriced, massively average fare). We need more Filipino eateries and it has always amazed me that Indonesian places far outnumber Filipino. Luckily I love Indo food as well.
Churchills used to do the best Crispy Pata in HK until the chef changed.
Jenels/Arome fusion in Wan Chai is a recent and welcome addition, especially if you like Karaoke on a Sunday.
Decent place in Jordan too but the name escapes me.
Is it Bedana's? This is our go to Filipino restaurant if we miss home.
You are a genius, thanks very much this is the one.
Also I’m told the Junels Amore restobar in Fenwick Street, only opened a few months has also closed down. Amore restaurant Wan Chai shut last December due to licensing issues. Be interesting to see what happens next. Junels Sai Ying Pun very much alive.
Side note. soft opening for Embassy tomorrow evening (sited at the old Escape in Jaffa Road). I’ve seen pics of the refit and looks good. They are trying to adopt a no shorts and flip flops policy. Good luck with that.
My leg stitches are removed this afternoon. To be determined whether that means I can finally get out and about. I have an awful feeling more treatment and possibly some restitching is required. I’ve cared for it, kept water off it, changed dressings daily and creamed it for 2 weeks but there’s still a slight infection despite the 1000mg bricks I’m having to shove down twice a day.
