Strange situation with that rocket which killed Polish people. The Polish side initially was claiming its Russia then after "consultation" with their NATO colleagues from the US decided to say its Ukraine. However they still haven't allowed Ukrainian side to the site (as far as I know) even though Ukrainian side was very willing to investigate and its only 8km from their border...

Ukrainians have been given access - at least according to this guy (ff to 11:05).

I don't think it is a cover up - but obviously NATO is super keen not to invoke article 5 by mistake.

    Deja vu..sorta. MH17..

Whether the rocket came from Russia or Ukraine, if it was an unfortunate stray and not intentional - would countries really escalate using Art 5 as the reason..

Are the 'Russian separatists' and 'rebels' that news articles always refer to actually just Ukrainian residents who are pro-separatists..

What are they - are they mostly resident Ukrainians incl of other ethnicities who are pro separatist either to Russia or autonomous. And the big influx of Russians into local population to dominate polls and politics..are these basically new immigrants from Russia..

Cuz russian separatists gave me the impression they were sent and embedded there by Russia for that purpose or something like that. I just had a very diff picture in mind altogether, furthest image away from regular folk 😅

I haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone on this - it doesn't change my view one bit that Putin needs to GTFO asap. But if they are just residents and not embedded personnel who will be heading back to Russia after the war... is that still back to square one for them vis-a-vis Ukraine bcos they will still be separatist and rebels..

Actually, those "separatists" you are talking about are the most unfortunate people in this situation. They found themselves between two fires, and just want to finally live in peace, they don't even care under what flag.

There was indeed unhappiness among the people from "separatist" regions about the Ukraine government. But the "solution" Russia offered played terribly for them.

Strange. Right after Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which was highly unsatisfactory for Moscow. Vladimir Makey was responsible for dialogue with the West and one of the few who was against participating in the war.. At CSTO he looked completely fine..

Moscow is damn desperate in dragging Belarus at FULL, not only as housing their bases (which no one asked for), but using the army as well.. I expect that all those who are anti-war may be under close Kremlin eye.
