    U.S. admits that covid will not be eradicated (duh) and we're going to have to learn to live with it. Also admits that various new variants are so transmissible, pretty hard to avoid getting it if you're exposed.

    The Philippines will not have any more lockdowns. The focus will be on vaccination and health service capacity

    First day of school enrollment (kids have to enrol each year)

    Last year just 220,000 enrolled on the first day of enrollment with all the restrictions. This year 3.3 million. 24 million to go

    Vaccination is not compulsory but parents with unvaccinated kids will be given "counselling" and a mobile vaccination van is waiting.

    I’m guessing Brighton is markedly different but having finally been able to venture down the nearest town’s high street after being here 10 days there’s really not much beyond coffee shops, charity shops and Turkish barbers
