Where to find good, structured Mandarin courses?

Where to find good, structured Mandarin courses?

We just found out that CUHK will not run its usual Mandarin autumn course due to low enrollment. Can anyone suggest a similar alternative? CUHK offered 5 days a week 3 hours a day at 29000 for 3 months. Difficult to beat! Any other good suggestions for 2 beginners?

HKU Space has classes - not sure how good or accepted they are and more importantly when their next course is.

Don't know any other uni courses .. there might be some.

I had looked into this place, it was near my HK office (also near Central). They used to have an intensive course but that was pre-covid so who knows these days...

Otherwise...Taiwan...which may be a tad inconvenient from HK...

Looked at this one, but they only offer a few hours a week. Thanks though!

Yes, same with my Mandarin school in Taipei because the people who used to come and do a 3-month class on just a tourist visa can't anymore (Taiwan, no tourists, still) or won't (because HK quarantine has been rather arbitrary and hard to get rooms). When even CUHK is cutting back, you know it's a serious issue. I took Cantonese at either HKU Space or something like it for one of the other unis and was about 30 people with 1 instructor...no. My Mandarin class in Taipei, after attrition, is down to just me and a guy from Guatemala. But times are so bad they are running the class with only the two of us...but it's only 9-12 on Saturdays. I wanted to do a more intensive class for the summer but my school hasn't offered the intensive one since covid...

Anyway, hope you find something, once I got into a good and structured class with a good textbook (no text for the Cantonese class) and audio files to listen to and practice from, it was a much better experience.

    Good luck!
