Platform for US Index Fund Investing (S&P 500)

    Hello,

Can someone point me in the right direction of which platform to use for investing in an S&P 500 index fund?

My bank (Hang Seng) offers an S&P 500 fund but they have a crazy amount of fees: subscription fee + management fee + monthly account fee. That's a lot compared to back home where all you have to do in pay a small expense ratio of 0.04%.

I also checked Interactive Brokers and Fidelity. Both of which don't offer an S&P 500 index fund.

Any ideas? Or am I stuck paying a ton of fees with Hang Seng?

    Thank you

Most HK brokers offer trading on the US exchanges.

FYI -- VOO / SPY etc are ETFs ... not "index funds" like Vanguard Admiral or other mutual fund offerings.

Does it have to be an "index fund"? Or is an ETF also acceptable to you?
