Since I am free to live anywhere I like and I'm living in Hong Kong then the answer must logically be Hong Kong. If, all things considered, I preferred to live somewhere else then presumably I would be living there.

Have a look at the Turkish inheritance low on the web.
I read the Herald every day this is how I know about the crime rate.
Housing? Bigger, cheaper all over the country -- in Australia --

    I love Hong Kong too.

Against median salary incomes in those cities, housing in Melbourne and Sydney are amongst the most expensive in the world.

I feel as safe in Melbourne and Sydney city as I do Hong Kong.

I went to Brisbane for a long weekend and hardly felt like I was in a major crime-zone

You need to venture out into the areas populated by the Hoi polloi.

A long weekend......the criminals don't work on weekends or bank holidays in Australia

Seriously though, I lived in Australia on and off for twenty years including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney as well as some rural towns that most haven't heard of. The problem of binge drinking speed taking petty criminals is there in all four states. Getting your car nicked is normal.
