Democracy is about leaving it to the voters to decide whether they'll elect people who shout foul slogans or people who think Krikey! is a swearword. It does not guarantee good governance, it doesn't even pretend to ensure good parliamentary manners. It merely helps to avoid the worst kinds of government - those that run over their citizens with tanks.

Or those that run over other citizens with tanks...

I be interested to know why you say that. So you are implying that the elections on Sunday was a sham?

What does it change? What power do they have? If, for example the pro-democracy candidates won all the seats does that mean HK would have universal suffrage in the near future?

So you are saying it was a sham. Doesn't it still occur to you that what YOU believe they want is not necessarily what they are interested in?
This was the message that the pro democracy groups were trying to woo the voters with but the electorate rejected it!

HK has moved on since 1997 and some factions still wish to play the "China is an ogre" card. the pro-democracy movement is so wrapped up in their own agenda that they had negelcted the aspirations of the people.
Lee Cheuk Yan paid a heavy price. Thinking he could just turn up with his "star factor", 6/4 slogans and anti China crusade, he totally misread the electorate.

They meaning who? Does everyone have the same opinion? While that might be true for the anti democracy parties (who do what they are told when they get the phone call), one of the problems that the pro democracy parties had was that they were fighting against each other.

So you are basically saying that the hundreds of thousands of voters who voted for the other parties are stupid? You are implying that they don't know how to vote?
Not everyone aspires to what the "pro democracy" groups wanted and this was evident.
    You are raping public opnion.
