I thought cold wash wouldn't clean the shirt properly, or does it? I wash mine at 40 degrees...

Some of my shirts are hitting close to 10 years, and are clearly showing their age, hence me looking into buying new shirts.

3 years because change of style...For example at some point if time I liked to have cufflinks at some others I didnt. Also I like shirts to fit me perfectly and in 10 years you do change (gain, loose weight..)I could wear them 10 years probably but feel that 3 years (maybe 4) is about the right number of years.

Agree, hot water washes cleaner, but since my shirts are never really that soiled, a cold wash seems to work fine. Coldwater Tide bought from a local pharmacy is the detergent of choice.

Holy moly. A thread on Geo where there are many differing POVs, yet no one has taken the piss.

I can confirm that gunsnroses is one suave motherf*cker. I might actually use his tailor for that reason.

Agree, would love to know how to keep shirts white and clean with cold water and no whitening agents?
