If my grandad was alive today he would slap the s*it out of you. Four years in the trenches in WW1 without a scratch, watched all his friends die, came home from that horror with a box of medals but it ruined him for the rest of his life.
I hope one day soon you say that to someone who has served in the military or stood on a battlefield, i really do.

sadly there is a big difference between WWI and WWII and present military campaigns.
for me the current fetish for 'our troops' is not in any way admirable, although that is an entirely separate argument.
