I'll be watching the match in the early hours. My heart says Utd will get a win, but logic says Bayern win.

1:1 leaves the tie ( wide ) open. Think Bayern had 70, 75% ball possession but were rather clueless in front. Allianz arena a fortress but ManU still hanging in there and with a quick goal everything possible. Bayern without Schweinsteiger, Martinez and Thiago in the return leg next week.
Edit
Oh yeah and tomorrow morning, <Trance ;-) I hear you>
Real v Dortmund
Paris v Chelsea
Think gonna be 2:2 Draw in Madrid and 2:0 win for Paris :-)

The key to the second leg will be how many defenders can Man Utd get fit. If they can have the near full compliment of the back 4, I'd like to see Phil Jones playing in midfield with Felliani pushed up as a target man with Shrek and Welbeck on either side. Bayern's central defence is shaky, and those 3 can cause some scares.
What I would go with:
De Gea
Raphael, Rio, Vidic, Evra/Buttner
Jones, Carrick, Kagawa (only because he's willing to close down players)
Rooney, Felliani, Welbeck
Bayern missing Schweinsteiger shouldn't change the formation of how they play; they'll play 2 central midfielders at home instead of 3 (Kroos and Lahm), with Ribery, Robben and Muller bussing about in front of them, and Manduzkic up front.
