Tim Howard was a beast, what a performance ...

Great game, proud of the team. Certainly headed in the right direction.

Tim Howard should never have to buy another drink in the U.S. A Giant among men today.

Seems like we might as well turn on the matches at 80 mins, judging by the last 4 games!

The script was similar throughout the knockout matches... Underdogs hold on for a long time, then the favourites nick it at the end. Only real exception to that was probably Colombia who won comfortably.

Have to wonder if it is a psychological thing as the finish line approaches.

I wonder if all 8 favourites have won in the last 16 before. The bookies probably lost a few dollars

So the Argies beat the Swiss and the Belgians beat the US. Natural order restored for the football world?
