Incognito/Lingual Braces Orthodontical experience in HK?

Hello! I am researching getting orthodontic work done and I think Incognito braces would be best for my work and lifestyle.

Can anyone kindly provide their experience or recommend a good orthodontist who provides this service? I know orthodontics work (price-wise) varies from case to case but so far I only heard somebody in Sydney got hers done for 2000 AUS dollars. Would like to know what the ballpark rates are in HK. Or should I go abroad to do it. i.e Taiwan, Thailand, etc.

    Many thanks!

I thought these things need a certain amount of follow-up. Will that be practical if you do it abroad?

Hi Claire ex-ax, thank you for comment

I just phoned an orthodontist clinic here in HK and the receptionist kindly gave me the lowdown that I was to expect to pay at least 70,000 HKD for incognito braces..... so i was just considering if anybody had gone abroad to Bangkok or India instead for this treatment. I know it might be a long shot....An orthodontist in Bangalore have all their prices in their website and they charge 30,000 HKD for incognito braces....

A good friend of mine had hers done in Taipei. She gets to visit Taipei every 6 or so weeks and slurp bobo tea and eat yummy snacks and generally have a good time + gets her teeth sorted into the bargain.

It's cheaper than Hong Kong of course, but I couldn't say how much cheaper.

Bangkok: I'm pretty sure my old Dentist in All Season's Place would do a good job with these. There's a Conrad Hotel on top of the mall, so you'd never even need to go outside.

If it were me, I'd probably choose Taipei.

I'd give Bangalore a miss. I'm sure the quality of care and professionalism are excellent, but you would be navigating a bit of a hygiene nightmare everywhere else, potentially including your 5-star hotel. You can't go to the dentist if you're glued to the porcelain throne. If I worked there and had adapted to local conditions then sure.

That's interesting. Id feel better about going to Taipei than Bangalore! I just phoned another orthodontist and the nurse answered this time. She quoted me 128,000HKD for incognito braces... It seems the price varies also from ortho' to ortho' specialist. But yes I hope with more research I'll find a good solution.
