Goodbye Skype. China’s internet censorship juggernaut rolls on without its former cyber tsar | South China Morning Post
Isn't Skype used by a lot of businesses for internal instant messenging?
We use skype for business as part of Office365 we purchased globally from Microsoft in Europe. Our Shanghai office was fucked last week with the whole email/skype as well as other internal systems hosted outside of China (Azure in East Asia) being inaccessible from the Shanghai office and the telco (China Telecom) can not give us an honest answer what is going on. Finally got things working by re-routing all traffic from Shanghai office to Suzhou factory and then out of China through an MPLS line we have installed there provided by Orange business services. Seems to be working now but I'm getting another MPLS installed in Shanghai now. This is bullshit and I can't keep working like this constantly putting out fires and having to deal with the staff complaining their email doesnt work. etc.
Try Ding Ding around your office. It'll track your employees everywhere and sign them in automatically.
Too many poor people in the city
