    Sorry for the delay.

    UAE 1-1 Bahrain

    Australia 0-1 Jordan

    Thailand 1-4 India

I think I am right in saying this is the first time Philippines have made the finals, don't expect them to get past the group stage even with Sven as coach.

Not studied the form but I would think S. Korea and Japan would be the two favourites. China should be up there but the resources they have never seem to bear fruit.

Looking at the top 16 Asian countries just shows how far Asia is still behind in football IMO.

Thanks for the informations @hullexile Really appreciated. I reckon Australia's defeat was an unpleasant surprise for the Socceroos. Yeah Japan, South Korea would be also my pick but gotta admit I don't know much about the AFC Cup Teams except Japan of course.

Schedule for today on HK Fox Sports1 - live

    6:50 pm China v Kyrgyzstan
9:20 pm South Korea v Philippines
    11:50 pm Iran v Yemen

After the drubbing by India, Thailand have sacked their manager. One match into the competition!

Another shocking defeat for Real Madrid. From bad to

    Sevilla v Atlético Madrid 1:1
    Alaves v Valencia 2:1

    Standings

    2 Atlético Madrid 35
    3 Sevilla 33
    4 Alaves 31
    5 Real Madrid 30

    Asian cup latest:

    Syria 0-0 Palestine

China 2-1 Kyrgystan (China were 0-1 down)

    S. Korea 1-0 Philippines (better result than I feared)

    Iran 5-0 Yemen

Will be interesting to see how Vietnam do later.

No was busy. I have watched them several times before, amateur team level in the UK to be honest. There are no football stadiums in the Philippines, first one is just being built. Zero interest in the game. I amhoping when the new athletics stadium is built in Clark they will transfer the national games there, easy for me to go then.
