    any reason/benefit to disrupt outgoing passengers in HKIA?
    imagine traveler with pregnancy/kids/babies or other traveler that can not afford to stay longer in the city as they don't have enough fund..

    It also imposes a high cost and a lot of stress and inconvenience on a lot of people - they may be drawing more international attention to their cause but they are pissing off an awful lot of people who might otherwise have supported them in the process.

    Hong Kong apartments are notoriously small, so having the protests at home is not an option.

    Losing the hearts and minds is not a good thing.
    Causing a bit of inconvenience is OK - lots of people can put up with that and sympathize.
    Causing outright disruption that hits the pocketbooks badly, can badly backfire.
