Seems like another attempt of government overreach. If this does not get thrown out of court, then I don't see how rule of law still remains in HK.
It might, but there’s neither compensation nor liability for harassment. Everything (with the law) is built to assume the authorities act in good faith, which the police for the past several months have strongly demonstrated not to be the case.

True, but not necessarily impossible. There is an action called "malicious prosecution". Very hard to prove successfully in practice, but it is possible for the defence to try. They could even try defamation action against the police, again, scant chance of success, but not impossible.

Police finally made to Ma Wan. Goodness knows why! Suggestions are that they are not happy with homemade Ma Wan labelled T shirts????

Is it worth moving funds out into high tax countries?

Why? Plenty of low tax countries around. Move it to Singapore if you don't trust HK.

Whoever's thinking the flow can be stopped by shutting down a few accounts is obviously quite naive.

The Hong Kong some people are apparently content to live in today.
