Rent 15000 (Got a good deal for a nice studio wished it would make sense to buy property instead of wasting this much each month)
    Food 6000 (never cook here)
Outings (non food mostly drinks) 1500-2000
    Transport 400 (mtr + taxis)
    Mobile 140

    23040

then you have to factor in trips and random spends (high end / luxury shopping, technology products) Planning to get a decent one bed room apartment to cook in on evenings/weekends but cannot find anything decent for less than 18k. Also it doesn’t really make sense financially as my good budget would probably decrease by only 2000 so less than the rent increase with new apartment + my time spent cooking but it would be healthier...

I've come to accept that I need to leave a rainy day fund to repay my parents' debts which they conveniently ignore until almost the last minute before bailiffs get to work.

    https://mox.com/features/smart-saving/

I find this Smart Saving function with Mox very useful to save for paying taxes, big purchases, travel (if this is still a thing! etc).

You also set autodebit from your salary / income account to fund Mox. Then, you can set the multiple sub-accounts for the saving to be daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, all automated while getting 1% interest.

Didn't they recently update the interest to 0.65%?

Still miles better than your high street bank

Sorry, that was suppose to be in response to the Mox post. No idea why the Reply button didn't auto-generate the quoted post..

It shows that there are new posts in this thread, but this particular post always remains the latest one showing for me. I can't see the anything after this.

Anyone else have this problem? @shri

Its an old legacy issue where the thread gets updated when someone votes on the poll.
