    Cool at night

    Hello.

whats a economic way of starting cool at night. Currently have the air on on all night , presume fan is the better option but worried this isn’t cool enough. (Have baby sleeping in the room too)

anyone tried a Dyson cool fan over air on?

    thanks in advance for help.

A/C is the only way. Fan just moves warm air around

Use a dehumidifier and keep the AC but at a slightly higher temperature. A lot of the feeling of unbearable heat in HK is caused by the extremely high humidity. AC removes it but it has to be kept constantly running if you don't have a dehumidifier.

A cheap dehumidifier should pay for itself after a year or two.

Dyson cannot replace the aircon! Saying that, my helper uses our Dyson fan in the night since she doesn't like the aircon. She feels comfortable with Dyson fan. So its basically up to you, how cool you want it to be.

A good night's sleep is worth a lot to me LOL. I turn on the air con but doesn't need to be freezer cold like most HK environments.

I adjust the a/c air flow to blow directly at my bed, sleep in Eve's Pyjamas, and rarely need to set the temperature lower than 27C even during the hottest time of summer. If I still feel too warm, I up the fan speed instead of lowering the temperature and that is usually sufficient. - Not sure how much more economical it is to run the a/c on these settings compared to lower temp though...

Or sleep on a tiled floor

Or you could make a mattress protector from fine and densely woven copper

If you go the dehumidifier route, check the efficiency of your machine as some dehumidifiers suck a lot of energy and are similar to the AC
