    Everyone allowed into HK currently is a resident. PR makes no difference.

    Thats a good point but I’m still struggling to see where you would have to go to a hotel at your expense rather than self isolate at home

    From what I understand you can quarantine at home for 2 weeks after flying into HK.

    I am quite impressed with the covid precautions in UK. It feels no different to HK - other than people aren't wearing them outside, which is OK imo.

    In fact I'd say it was better as I don't use public transport (back to car ownership) and supermarkets/shops are far more spacious and less busy. More space in restaurants too. Doctors is far more cautious than HK ones. Initial appointments only by phone.

    I don't live in London or a big city however,

    No different from HK except regional lockdowns and 4000 cases per day.

    IMO that word 'lockdown' is being used a bit too liberally... there might be lockdowns is a few weeks, but the pubs shutting at 10pm is hardly a lockdown.
