    yup, you are right!!

    and there are lots of places in Hong Kong (whether under or above grounds) where this could happen again.

    Did the find out the real reason for this? There was an engineer quoted who basically said if the train doors were not strong enought to withstand a piece of plastic advertising, that would be a problem in itself.

    it was metal lighting box. from the new reports it appears that the metal lighting box had metal door, it swings open to change the advertising, that door was open/ajar, by error, by vibration, or combination of both, and the door of the passing train door hit the metal door.
